Remember that cute little owl ornament I mentioned a few posts back - the one that Jake gave me?
Well...
I got two more over the course of Christmas this year!
They're each a little different, and all three absolutely precious.
I love them.
AND I also received an adorable owl print apron from my cousin Mackie, which I'll show you a picture of very soon. You're going to be so jealous!
Yes, it was a wonderful Christmas, indeed. (And not just because of the many owl-themed presents!)
It snowed all day the 26th - which always adds to that snuggly, holiday feeling, in my opinion. We sat in Jake's grandparents' cozy, wood-walled living room, taking turns at the coveted seating on the hearth, warming our backs with the crackling fire, and watching out the great big window as white flurries swirled to the ground outside. There was plenty of whipped-cream-topped hot chocolate this Christmas, an unceasing flow of delicious foods, and, best of all, I felt very close to my family this year - both of them, Jake's side and mine. And I'm realizing more and more that people are the thing worth treasuring most in life.
Anyway, I hope your Christmas was equally wonderful.
Now, I suppose, it's time for us to start looking to the New Year, isn't it?
I wonder what sorts of things 2011 will bring...
